"Half King Foot By Bion, Circa 1700"
Half king's foot in brass forming a square and plumb line, signed "N. Bion in Paris" and datable to the end of the 17th century or the very beginning of the 18th century. Beautiful condition for this classic half king's foot by the famous French manufacturer of the time of Louis XIV, Nicolas Bion. On one side, a half king's foot and a scale divided up to 130, on the other half Rhine foot and a scale divided up to 110. The instrument measures 16.7cm in length when closed.
