Beautiful oil on canvas where the Virgin is represented according to the iconography of the 'mater dolorosa', in an attitude of suffering tension as well as a feeling of gentleness, her gaze turned upwards. It refers to the moment of the Passion of Jesus where the Virgin is placed in mourning at the foot of the cross, as described in the Gospel of St. John.
