Charles Homualk (1909 - 1996):
Charles Homualk was born in Nantes and attended the Fine Arts school in this city. After his military service, he began a career in advertising. But he is best known as an illustrator of postcards on the theme of all the regions of France. It was in 1933 that he began his collaboration with the Gabriel Artaud publishing house in Nantes and this continued until 1970. It was during his years at the Beaux-Arts that Homualk created four or five models for the HB earthenware factories.
