Bird's Nest Basket (Hanakago) for Ikabana Hanakago is a Japanese term meaning flower baskets. These are made using the Japanese bamboo weaving technique, which is a traditional art in itself. They are used in ikebana and sometimes also in the tea ceremony. Ikebana, meaning the way of flowers or the art of making flowers live, is a traditional Japanese art based on flower arrangement.
