"18th Century - Tortoiseshell Pill Box"
Wonderful 18th century tortoiseshell pill box, worked with heat carving, a technique thanks to which the exceptional hand of the artist managed to work a sheet that in some places does not reach 0.5 mm in thickness! The color and transparency are unique, as is a small wrinkled area where you can see the continuity between the base and the lid, made from the same fragment. The object is in excellent condition with a slight heat deformation at the base, physiological considering the thin thickness of the material and the age.
