Silverware Service - Silver-gilt Cutlery - 19th Century Tableware

Elegant set of three silver-gilt cutlery -

Superb set of three silver-gilt cutlery (vermeil), including a knife, a fork and a spoon.

Each piece is decorated with a finely chiseled decoration, composed of a checkerboard pattern framed by scrolls and ending with an elegant ornament inspired by a caduceus.

The blade of the knife, also in vermeil, brings a touch of harmony to the set, which seems intended for desserts and fruits. The set adopts a matching style, with richly worked handles and balanced shapes.

Material: Solid silver gilt (vermeil)
Hallmarks: Minerva + goldsmith (to be identified, see photos)

Condition: Very good general condition, with only slight wear on the back of the arm of the fork revealing the silver under the vermeil (see photos).

Additional details:
The gilding is well preserved, with an elegant shine.
The handles are finely worked and curved for a pleasant grip.
The blade of the knife, also in vermeil, fits perfectly with the refinement of the whole.
