"Fruit Dish From The Primavera (spring) Art Deco Workshops"
Deep dish with a central animal motif. Primavera ("spring" in Italian) is the first French department store to want to equip itself at the beginning of the 20th century with a creation workshop. The adventure begins in 1912 with two enthusiasts of Decorative Arts: Pierre Laguionie (1884-1978), director of Printemps and the lawyer René Guilleré (1878-1931), founder of the Salon des artistes décoratifs. Their goal is to promote artistic craftsmanship in the daily life of the French people on the motto of beauty and utility. Decorative objects and furniture (furniture, ceramics, glassware, tapestry, upholstery fabrics, wallpapers, etc.) must be beautiful, modern and of quality and at affordable prices.
