GOCCIA umbrella stand made by the designer trio Boccato, Gigante and Zambusi for Magis in 1983. The frame is made of red lacquered iron and the base of black plastic. The whole object measures 36.5x33.5x45 cm.
Magis was founded in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza in Motta di Livenza, a small town in the Veneto region of Italy. His idea was to experiment and combine new languages and materials, offering something ‘extra’ to what already existed on the market. Only two months after its birth, Magis presented itself at its first Salone del Mobile.
The state of preservation is good, with some defects due to use and the age of the object. It has the production mark on the bottom.
