Paul Cheriau is a painter, designer, engraver and sculptor based in Provence in La Ciotat. Particularly sensitive to the forces of nature, with a Celtic soul, he leaves works that defy time: many schools in France (Paris, Nîmes, Fontenay-le-Comte, La Valette, Nice...), have preserved his monumental granite sculptures. With his goldsmith's hands, Paul Cheriau sculpted stone, wood, sheared metal... driven by an ancestral creative inspiration. His works are inspired by the eternity of matter. He creates free forms, which sometimes become sculptures. He participated in numerous exhibitions in France. Pastels on paper framed under glass, 1960s.
