Pair of mahogany armchairs, Directoire style, with reversed back, from the late 18th or early 19th century. Resting on a spindle base at the front and a sabre base at the back. Woodwork in very good condition, the fabric shows some wear. Note that although this is a real pair, these armchairs have slight differences in dimensions, one being more "masculine" while the second is more "feminine".
