Rectangular wall mirror with a carved and gilded wooden frame, with some openwork areas. It is topped with a crest, with architectural and vegetal decoration (flower garlands, leaves, etc.) arranged around (and symmetrically) a curved shape reminiscent of the 18th century Rococo rocailles. Also note the wavy edges of the frame in this area. In the rest, apart from a usual composition of smooth moldings, we find a series of vegetal and architectural motifs (foliage, leaves, volutes, etc.), some details of which show, again, a certain Rococo influence. The piece clearly shows the influence of the 18th century Rococo works, as we have already indicated, but with a more common arrangement in 19th century works. In addition, an evident French influence can be mentioned (in this school we would speak of the Louis XV style). Compare, for example, with several mirrors in the Cerralbo Museum in Madrid whose upper part has soft curves (inv. 04166 -dated to the second half of the 19th century-, etc.) -
