A most bucolic scene, where we follow a couple on their walk in the countryside. The weather is nice, it's spring, the landscape is peaceful, a tree in bloom near the house, and the flowers overflow behind the fence. The blue background gives a lot of depth to the scene. The style is lively, nothing academic, post-impressionist in spirit, all in quick touches. The frame is old, made of wood, it was recently stained.
