Superb gondolier's staff dating from the Napoleon III period (19th century), refined and emblematic of Venetian elegance.
Its top is decorated with a finely sculpted horse's head, a symbolic element evoking nobility and power. The whole is made of copper and brass, offering a beautiful contrast of materials and patinas. The horse's head is mounted on a gold-colored ring allowing it to be unscrewed, adding a touch of ingenuity to this exceptional object. The number 29 can be read on it once unscrewed.
In very good general condition, it has a slight dent at the right ear, without altering its charm or authenticity.
Dimensions:
Total length: 57 cm
Width of the staff: 4.5 cm
A rare and decorative object, perfect for collectors and lovers of art objects linked to Venetian traditions.
