"Garouste And Bonetti Lamp, “waiting For The Barbarians” Collection, Circa 1980"
Patinated bronze table lamp made around 1980 by Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti, as part of the "En attendant les Barbares" collection. This duo, active since the early 1980s, marked the revival of French design with creations that combined classic references and organic forms. Often working with patinated bronze and gilded details, they imposed a singular style, on the border between furniture and sculpture. This lamp, signed "BG", features a floral decoration in gilded bronze applied in relief.
