" Clock Portico In Bronze Mercury Gilding And Marble"
Elegant portico clock of excellent manufacture from the early 19th century, from the Restoration period around 1820. Mercury-gilded bronze, very finely chiseled gold, architecture with two flared round columns resting on a square base decorated with a rosette. The upper part is decorated on the columns with antique basins garnished with bouquets of flowers framing the large white enamel dial, topped with a round basin accompanied by laurel stem handles.

The space between the columns is occupied by a large chiseled frieze of mythological winged creatures and a sun pendulum. Solid rectangular base in red griotte marble highlighted by a flattened pearl outline.

Original mechanism without modification, wire suspension. Hour and half-hour strike on old bell.
