Louis Chazal – Sailors In The Port Of Concarneau – Oil On Canvas – Signed

The scene shows a lot of activity in the port of Concarneau, probably during a return from fishing. Several boats, all sails out, are at the quay or preparing to dock. The sailors go about their business. A small crowd is pressing near a boat.
The sea is green, the clouds are adorned with the colors of the evening.
The painting is signed lower right. The work is in very good condition. There is a restoration towards the center of the canvas, visible on the back. The work is offered in a beautiful modern wooden frame with a copper patina, in perfect condition.

This painting was painted by Louis Chazal, a French painter active in the first half of the 20th century. He painted Brittany, and Concarneau in particular, on numerous occasions.
