Old painting, French school, Empire style, large miniature on paper, representing an elegant young woman in a dress and lace, wearing a tiara, a purple shawl around her left arm. She is seated in a music room richly decorated with tapestry and royal blue and gold curtains, two scores are placed on the pianoforte on which she is preparing to play. The subject is identified on the back as well as the Swiss painter Reinhard practicing in Deux Ponts in the Rhineland. A newspaper article as well as a handwritten document on the back on laid paper attest to the genealogy of the work. It is Caroline-Amélie -Augusta de Freund-Sternfeld painted in 1809.
