HE LEFT FOR FRANCE WHERE HE SPENT MOST OF HIS LIFE AND ENROLLED AT THE JULIAN ACADEMY
; A YEAR LATER, HE PRESENTED HIS FIRST WORK AT THE SALON OF FRENCH ARTISTS, IN 1905/1996 HE PRESENTS A SCULPTURE ENTITLED "THE END OF THE DAY" IT PRESENTS A PEASANT IN A BLOUSE AND CLOGS EXHAUSTED BY THE DAY'S WORK. AND PRESENTS HIS WORKS EACH YEAR AT THE SALON D'AUTOMNE AND AT THE SALON OF THE SOCITÉ NATIOINALE DES BEAUX ARTS AND BECOMES A MEMBER OF THESE TWO INSTITUTIONS. HE WILL PRESENT ANIMAL SCULPTURES MADE AT THE ANTWERP ZOO IN THE COMPANY OF HIS FRIEND REMBRANDT BUGATTI IN 1909. IN 1913, HE PARTICIPATED IN THE SHOW IN NEW YORK, BOSTON AND CHICAGO, A MAJOR EVENT WHICH MARKS THE ARRIVAL OF MODERN ART IN THE UNITED STATES. AFTER HAVING EXPERIMENTED WITH PAINTED SCULPTURE, HE CREATED JOYFUL SCULPTURES OF PAINTED TANGO DANCERS. THESE WORKS, OF WHICH ONLY FIVE EXEMPLARY EXIST, ARE HIGHLY SOUGHT-AFTER, MAKING CECIL HOWARD ONE OF THE PIONEERS OF CUBISTA SCULPTURE. HIS WORKS ARE IN INTERNATIONAL MUSEUMS AND PRIVATE COLLECTIONS.
