Officer's sword known as a musketeer, LOUIS XV period, circa 1740 - 1750, 18th century Iron mount with remains of gold gilding, chiseled with symbolic decorations of birds (peacock - heron - crane - stork - ibis) framing a temple or fortified door with laurel branches, on the entire mount. Globular pommel with the same bird decoration and temple with rivet button. Joint arch with a branch chiseled with the same decoration on both sides in its center. Filigree fuse. Bi-valve shell chiseled on the front and back with the same decoration. Branch guard and donkey's step. 2-edged blade, flat with a median groove engraved on the 1st third at the heel.
