"Eloi Guérin, Mustard Ladle, Spoon, Silver, Paris, 1750"
Silver mustard ladle, model with threads and scrolls, the spoon bordered. Paris 1750-1756 for the ladle and Paris 1750 for the teaspoon. Master goldsmith Eloi Guérin received on May 20, 1727. Weight 30g each - length 11.7cm and 14.4cm. Condition, good, traces of use, I am adding a teaspoon to the mustard ladle. Only the discharge is readable on the mustard ladle. The teaspoon is very well hallmarked. To my knowledge, only two goldsmiths made this very rare cutlery model. Eloi Guérin and Jacques Anthiaume. Anthiaume was not yet a master goldsmith at this date. We owe the invention of this model to Eloi Guérin. In the inventories of the 18th century, we find only one mustard spoon. Very rare. The only one?
