Louis XVI period d'Artois chair, lacquered and stamped by Claude I Sene, received as master on July 20, 1743. Fluted and rudenté base, molded belt and canopy carved with fleurons, horseshoe seat and oblong medallion back. The production of chairs with oblong medallion backs began after 1776 when the Count of Artois, the king's younger brother, ordered them.
