Large and magnificent classical wooden Buddha from the Mandalay period. He is seated in vajraparyanka on a base, making the gesture of calling the earth to witness, bhûmisparçamudrâ. He wears a monastic robe with decorative hems and is partially covered with small multi-colored glassware. The whole is still partially covered with gilded lacquer. Very good general condition.
