Object description :

"Francesco Lo Jacono 'child Fishermen In The Gulf Of Palermo'. 1880 About. Cm.25x35-"
Francesco Lo Jacono 'Child fishermen in the Gulf of Palermo'. Oil on panel depicting the Gulf that embraces the city of Palermo. Lojacono in this small masterpiece expresses the maximum of his mastery. He manages to portray the view of the entire gulf with outlined perspective planes and at the same time softly linked by a serene, luminous and relaxing calm. This is his beloved Palermo that thanks to his pictorial genius, responds to a coherent, punctual and hyper-realistic examination. The two young clam fishermen are made with imperceptible glazes, as if they were two little ghosts embraced by the magic of that splendid landscape. Work of the best period of the Painter called 'Thief of the Sun' around 1880. Approximately 25x35 cm within a contemporary frame.
