"Woman With A Green Stole – Oil On Canvas – 1st Empire"
Large oil on canvas from the early 19th century, showing a woman of quality. She wears clothes characteristic of this period. Her curly hair is held back by a blue ribbon, matching those which, decorated with pearls, surround her bust and her arm. Her shoulders are covered with a green stole. Her throat is largely bare, the woman is not wearing jewelry. Eller is placed on a worked gray background, we can guess a sketch of a landscape in the background.
The woman has a pink complexion; she seems lost in her thoughts and smiles slightly.
This is a delicate, peaceful, very decorative portrait.
The work is in very good condition. On the back, we note two minor restorations. The work is offered in a gilded and stuccoed wooden frame, also in very good condition.
Work visible at the gallery (07240).
