"France 1900 : "two Umbrella And Parasol Display Stands""
Two parasol or umbrella displays circa 1900: silver-plated metal 15 X 12 X 12 cm, internal diameter at the top of the tubes 20 mm, and chrome-plated metal 13 X 10.5 X 10.5 cm, internal diameter at the top of the tubes 18 mm. Some wear and deformation. The large one is from the Siegel brand, the small one is unmarked and has a leaded base for greater stability. They were used to display parasols and umbrellas in the windows of department stores in a slight fan shape so that they would not touch each other.
