Pair of bronzes representing the Executioner holding the head of St. John the Baptist after a model by François Duquesnoy and an Orator (sometimes identified as Julius Caesar) after the Antique.
Beautiful casts (in one piece with the terrace) with translucent patina.
Italy, late 17th or early 18th century.

Height of the bronzes: 26.7 and 27.2 cm
Total heights: 32 and 32.5 cm

To report: the executioner's sword blade lacking.
Mounted on blue turquin marble bases.
