"Art Deco Terracotta Group By Marcel Bouraine"
Art Deco terracotta group, “Mother and child”, by Marcel-André BOURAINE (1886-1949). In the exact Art Deco stylization (treatment of hairstyles in particular) and in the borrowing from antiquity for the interpretation of the bodies, this work combines both rigor and grace. Around 1930, signed on the terrace at the back with the stamp of the Susse Frère establishments in Paris for the edition. Good condition (small mark on the child's arm, restoration?).
