"Large Reliquary Frame (ss: Crescentis, Valerii, Aureli, Theodori), Tirol 18th Century"
A fine example of the work of a Sister of great mastery: Reliquary frame in painted wood, housing inside, four small fragments of relics of Saints and Martyrs (ex ossibus of "S.Crescentis M, S. Valerii M, S.Aureli and S. Theodori M") surrounded by a rich assembly of white trimmings, glass beads and pearls, decorated with rocailles and Accanthus flowers. Rectangular plaque in embossed and chiseled silver, representing the Virgin. Tirol, probably Innsbruck, mid-18th century. Episcopal seal on the back. Good condition.
