SHAKO OF OFFICER OF THE 11TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, model 1830, July Monarchy. 27702 Cardboard body covered with silk fabric, H 22 cm at the front, 23 cm at the back, bordered with a 3 cm gold braid at the top and a 4 cm black velvet bourdalou at the bottom. Black waxed cap, diameter 23.5 cm. Visor in black waxed leather on the outside and green on the inside, width 6 cm. Metal cockade stamped in relief with a tricolor lacquered radiant sun, diameter 7 cm. Gilded brass plaque model 1830, embossed with a rooster surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch on a background of a radiant sun, the rooster is placed on a shield whose center is decorated with a crown of oak leaves on a background of a bundle of flags, in the center of which is cut the number "11". H of the plaque 14 cm, width 11 cm. Chinstraps composed of a leather chin strap covered in black velvet and entirely covered with a series of gilded brass scales cut into festoons; and a round rosette stamped in its center with a star on a sand background bordered by a protruding molding (diameter 4 cm). Length of the chinstrap 23 cm. Inner cap in black waxed sheepskin cut into wolf teeth. Inner label stuck under the cap of the manufacturer supplying the armies Loyseleur Sr de Caillour at the Palais Royal n° 46 in Paris. Scarlet silk plume mounted on a metal core, visible height 27 cm, total height 42 m, decorated at its base with a wooden pompom decorated with silver thread, pompom height 5.5 cm. France. July Monarchy. Good condition, some wear from use, interior cap partly missing and accidents at the base of the shaft with some small losses and tears (not visible on the outside).
