"Benito Belli: Spanish Musketeer"
Very nice composition by the Catalan painter Benito BELLI, representing a masked musketeer, smiling and laughing. Work from the end of the 19th century, around 1890. This oil on canvas has passed through our restoration workshops and has been cleaned and varnished. Dimensions: 55.5 x 44 cm BENITO BELLI (Barcelona, ca.1850 – ca.1900), active at the end of the 19th century, in Paris, Barcelona and Seville. Catalan painter often representing characters, genre scenes and portraits. His style was marked by Eugenio de Lucas for his brushwork and the themes of Goya. Between Barcelona, Madrid and Paris, his artistic life developed, presenting his works at exhibitions and fairs.
