Biography:
Founded in 1857 by Ludwig Moser in Karlsbad (Germany) , the Moser company began as an engraving workshop and became a renowned manufacturer of high quality glass. After acquiring a factory in 1893, Moser employed 400 people and received several awards, including medals at the Vienna (1873) and Panama-Pacific (1915) International Exhibitions.
Official supplier to the Austrian and British imperial courts in the early 20th century, Moser excelled in Art Nouveau glass, using innovative techniques such as Eckentiefgravur. Under Leo Moser, the company reached a peak by winning the Grand Prix at the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1925.
Despite the economic crisis of the 1930s, the Second World War and nationalisation under the Communist regime, Moser retained its international prestige thanks to the quality and signature of its work, particularly the Fipop series.
