Quite an intriguing drawing, showing an unknown and probably imaginary plant. Brown ink, fine line. The plant is topped with three kinds of cocoons, decorated and topped with a floret and pistils. Leaves at the base of the flower. Lanceolate foliage at the base of the stem. A collector's mark at the bottom left, listed in the Lugt, no. 3892, unidentified. Gilded wooden frame in the style of the 18th century. Attribution to Mattéo Del Nasaro, who died in 1547.
