Oval centerpiece with interior tray with handles, decorated on the outside with a fine relief based on moldings in curved lines drawing handles and feet, and a composition on the faces and sides based on leaves and fruits. From a stylistic point of view, it responds to the models of Art Nouveau. Victor Saglier (1809-1894) was a master goldsmith active in Paris (France), highly appreciated for his works in the Art Nouveau style, creating pieces for Majorelle and Gallé. On his death, the company became Saglier Frères, managed from then on by his brothers Eguène and André, until the latter's death in 1948. -
