Object description :

"Set Of Six Armchairs Stamped George Jacob."
Medallion backrest surrounded by a frieze topped with a knot. The armrests end in volutes. The joinery of the top of the backrest and the elegy belt are all points that express Georges Jacob's concern for excellence. The acanthus on the armrest supports continue in finely sculpted interlacing. There are two registers on the belt: a row of piastres and a row of ribbon tori on the perimeter of the belt which meet in a central knot. For the two front legs, the connecting die in which the molded crosspieces are assembled has a rosette with an indefinite number of petals. The feet with rudentée fluting end in a constriction.
