"Japanese Bronze Cachepot"
Very nice Japanese bronze planter, from the 1900s, probably Meiji style. Beautiful decorative piece in bronze with a warm brown patina. Slightly flared neck and a rim decorated with a geometric pattern in relief. The body of the planter is divided into several finely chiseled panels, representing natural scenes: Flowering branches, possibly cherry trees or magnolias, symbols of ephemeral beauty and renewal in Japan. A landscape with reliefs and stylized vegetation. The side handles are in the shape of stylized elephant heads, a decorative element often present on Japanese bronze objects of this period.
