Superb lamp base composed of a late 18th century Canton porcelain vase, Famille verte; richly decorated with cartouches animated with scenes of female dignitaries, surrounded by floral motifs, birds and butterflies in relief, flowers and various with four animated scenes of women in the intimacy of a rich interior decor. The whole vase is teeming with details and a beautiful polychromy, the glaze is not left out. The whole is sublimated by a finely chiseled and ornamental gilded bronze mount. The material is beautiful and the finesse of the decoration very precious for this rare piece in its condition and preserved from time, foot like clerette whose top ends with a lyre mount (the lighting in this way directed downwards to better appreciate this pretty piece) of a rare quality, Parisian work from the Faubourg of the 19th century in the service of an older vase, for a set constituting a beautiful important and decorative lamp, in very good original condition
