JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868). Samurai wakizashi. KASHIRA in shakudo inlaid with copper and silver depicting paulownia leaves. TSUKA in wood, covered with ray skin, braided with black silk. MENUKIS in pair in gilded copper depicting flowering branches. FUSHI in gilded copper on a nanako background depicting a child dragging a character sitting cross-legged on a bag of riches. TSUBA moka gata in wrought iron and openwork with peony decoration, inlaid with copper and silver dots on the mimi, unsigned. SAYA in red lacquered wood with hira makie decoration of a sparrow flying above a tree. HABAKI in copper in two parts. Straight blade (slight tempering accidents), the tang pierced twice and unsigned. Dimensions: 80 x 7 x 6.5 cm. Blade dimensions: 65.2 cm. Size: 1.3 cm.
