Painting, oil on panel, illustrating the scene of “The Tears of Saint Peter”. In the center, Saint Peter* is depicted kneeling, wearing the tunic and pallium, the characteristic attire of the apostle, his hands placed on his chest, his eyes filled with tears and turned towards heaven. In front of him, his attributes: the rooster and the keys. He was the first head of the Christian Church and is widely considered to be the first pope. Although his existence dates back to the 1st century, his legacy continues to this day.
