Painter of portraits, nudes, landscapes and still lifes. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen and then continued at the one in Paris. He was a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen. In Paris, a member of the Salon des Artistes, he was awarded a gold medal, hors-competit in 1935, third medal in 1937 at the Universal Exhibition. His works are featured at the Museum of Fine Arts in Quimper, at the Regional School of Fine Arts in Rouen as well as at the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen. His hometown particularly honors him.
