Large and tall Louis XVI style planter in Trianon grey painted wood with gilded highlights. Removable zinc interior with handles for changing plants and collecting water. The edge of this planter is in canework with Louis XVI knot ornamentation and gilded wooden foliage garland in the middle of each large face. The original paint has some flaking. The high jambs have been reinforced with large ones from the inside under the zinc. Stable set. Very decorative piece of furniture, rare in this height allowing it to be installed in front of a window and to have the plants at eye level. Period late 19th century circa 1895-1900.
