"Baguès, Attributed To, A Louis XVI Style Tripartite Table In Bronze And Mirror Tops"
A tripartite table in richly worked gilded bronze. The legs rest on spheres, topped with acanthus leaves in the shape of a spinning top, and a frieze of pearls. The flared legs are fluted and arched in their hollow. Under the tabletop, the same elements are repeated: pearl border and acanthus leaves. The edge of the tabletop itself is adorned with a love knot design.
A small chip on the tabletop of a demi-lune table (see picture).
