Paris April 19, 1850." The blade is signed "LEPAGE MOUTIER ARQUEBUSIERS in PARIS". Leather scabbard with two fittings, richly decorated rivet. With belt in red morocco leather and covered with a scarlet wool braid mixed with four nets woven in gold thread gilt brass buckle representing a Medusa head belt closure representing two snake heads sword holder sewn to the belt Blade length 83cm Including 18cm decorated in damask. Very good condition. Missing watermark. Colonel Viscount DE GOYON commanded the 2nd Dragoon Regiment from 1846 until his appointment as general.
