Circa 1870-1880France Vest of an elegant man from the end of the Second Empire in Persian embroidery called Nakshe. Orientalist example of a reuse at the time of this beautiful embroidery in very tight stitch of silk cords with strong polychromy, composing a decoration of flowers and diagonal stripes. Fitted vest with shawl collar, two slanted pockets and closed with five bronze resin buttons. Back in taupe-colored taffeta with buckled tightening tab in the back. Note, several small repairs in the back and some soiling of the cream cotton fleece lining, the embroidery on the front remains undamaged with preserved colors. Good general condition. Wearable today.Dimensions: Equivalent to men's size 48-50. Front height 55 cm, waist 85 cm buttoned vest, shoulders 40 cm, chest 98 cm.
