"Fireplace Carve In Black Marble Of Belgium Netherlands 19th Century"
Fireplace carved with Black Marble of Belgium. The two architectual pillars depart from base shelfs on which there is a game of reserves and frames; curls are carved frome the base to the top shelfs that support the trabeation where a richly decorated frame holds the fireplace's counter; between the two pillars there is a shell carving that hold a flower composition. The marble is treated with shiny and opaque parts that give depth and and three-dimensionality to the black surface.
