"Oil On Panel "young Woman Holding A Bird In Her Arms" By Furcy De Lavault"
Close to Corot and Charles d'Aubigny, Furcy was a painter of landscapes and especially of flowers; in the work of Elisabeth Hardouin-Fugier (Les peintres de fleurs de Redouté à Redon, Ed. de l'Amateur), we can find this laudatory comment "Furcy triumphs through an unparalleled knowledge of floral anatomy ... everything is respected down to the smallest petal ... the craft assured to the point of nonchalance". He began at the Salon de Bordeaux in 1874, then in 1880 he turned to the Salon de Paris where he returned regularly until 1891. Dimensions: Panel 82 x 42cm / With frame 94 x 53cm
