"Huge Zoomorphic Iron For Tying Horses, Bologna Early 17th Century"
Spectacular wrought and sculpted "campanella", with a zoomorphic terminal. These objects were used to tie horses outside buildings. Particularly widespread between the 13th and 17th centuries. Based on a stylistic analysis, this example probably dates back to the early  17th century. A particularly large example (30 cm high, ring diameter 22 cm) and robust, in splendid condition.
