Winter landscape under the snow. Léonard Bordes, a very prolific painter of the Rouen school, devoted several paintings to snowy landscapes which are generally very successful. His inimitable way of painting trees is recognized here and the construction of the painting is solid with its powerful vanishing lines. Always human in his compositions to animate the countryside. .
