The handle, made of beautiful material, is violin-shaped for a comfortable grip.
The silver end echoes the violin-shaped handle and is slightly concave.
This part is beautifully engraved with a frieze of flower bouquets framing a large cartouche with the monogram of Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie under an Imperial crown.
This monogram indicates that this cutlery was a gift from the imperial couple. This engraving can also be found on the gift cups given to children born on the same day as the Little Prince.
