Rare duchess in boat, with eight legs, from the 18th century. The backs are in gondolas. In carved walnut, mounted on small pegs. Attributed to the cabinetmaker Pierre Pillot, born in Fontenay sur seine in 1748, died in Nîmes in 1822. The feet, in square sheaths, with deep and unique rudentée grooves on all sides (this style is particular to Pillot and is equivalent to a signature.) Good original condition, some reinforcements.
