"Persia Late 19th Century : "important Kadjar Ewer""
Late 19th century Persia: "Important Kadjar ewer", chiseled copper and bronze 43 X 16 X 30 cm. Some deformation, oxidation, traces of old cleaning. Of an unusual size indicating a prestigious sponsor, this ewer has decorative details that reinforce its originality: the bronze bird serving as a pusher crowning the flower-shaped lid, the hexagonal-section spout opening at the end or the handle decoration formed from hammered copper plate. These ewers were often filled with rose water that was offered to guests to wash their hands. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or phone.
